2nd Annual Miss Africa Tri State Pageant in Pictures..
MISS AFRICA TRI STATE PAGEANT 2012
The second Annual Miss
Africa Tri State held on Saturday June 16th, 2012 at the Clinton
Banquet Hall New Jersey was a huge success. With the long roll call of
dignitaries, celebrities, and Leaders both from the USA and Africa. From the
very special Guests; Hon. Barr. Yeye Olasehinde Vincete - Member House of
Assembly Ondo State Nigeria. Rep. Christophe Adjovi - Government official from
the Republic of Benin. The office of the Council man and newly elected
congressman Donald Payne. The African Commission. All the way from South Africa
the famous screenwriter of SARAFINA- Mbongeni Ngema. The all star award winning
producers, directors, and all the celebrity judges that helped picked the new
Queen.
Adding more cream to the
night were Director Bethels Agomouh , Actress Summer Angel , Producers
Oliver Mbamara and Moses Adedeji , Jude Away-Away international comedian.
The beautiful ladies
were all deserving of the crown with each lady delivering a good performance
and elegance. At the end of the night, Ms. Joyce Oppongwah of GHANA
was crowned by the outgoing Queen Yolanda Masinga of South Africa. The first runner up was Ms.
Seun Onibiyo of Nigeria, While the second runner up was Liberia’s Lia Dahn. There were other categories that were
recognized as well. The Miss Personality contest went to Ms. Lia Dahn, while
the Miss Photogenic went to Ms. Oby Uche.
It was a lovely weekend
for the ladies with the sponsored limousine taking them wherever they want to
go.

In less than 24 hours, the Dallas Fort Worth Metroplex will experience African music like never before. DFW’S # 1 W. African hotspot “Kemi’s Kitchen” will be hosting Fuji Superstar “Alhaji Shefiu Alao” all the way from Lagos, Nigeria live in concert Friday June 15 at 9pm.

Nollywood Legends Bukky Wright and Bolaji Amusan(Mr Latin) to Host 2012 NPA Awards
LAGOS, NIGERIA- May 1, 2012- The Nigerian Promoters Awards (NPA) is gathering momentum and scores of entertainment practitioners are currently gearing up for the annual awards.
The NPA Entertainment Awards is an event to recognize, celebrate and to further promote African entertainers based in the United States of America and in Diaspora.
This years edition of the awards is planned to be bigger and better. The event will take place in Houston Texas, U.S.A.
The event will hold on the 25th to 27th of MAY, 2012, and it will coincide with the “Memorial weekend”.
As a build up to the awards, there will also be a gathering of entertainment professionals.
The gathering will come in the form of a summit where entertainment administrators who are members and non-members of NPA such as: promoters, music producers, event planners, record label companies, artiste managers, Deejays, media personalities, film producers, fashion designers, arts and sports executives come together to
deliberate on ways to better improve the standards of Pan African Entertainment industry particularly in the North America by the year 2020.
About NPA and its 'Networking Vision'
The NPA event is designed to create a networking platform where attendees will meet and share ideas among other things.
One of the aims of the event is also to preserve the African cultural heritage. The event is also a template to exhibit and promote various works of both locals and Africans in the United States of America, thus broadening networking beyond boarders and defining new markets for creative arts and entertainment business.
